Ponte Winery, located in the heart of the Temecula Valley in Southern California offers some excellent scenery when it comes to capturing wedding photography. Unlike many other wineries in the Temecula Valley, Ponte, offers easy access to it’s vineyards; brides don’t have to be shuttled to and from the vineyards in a golf cart nor are there any hills to for them to climb in order to get to a picturesque spot. Having the vineyards so close to the winery and easily accessible can help with your time schedule since the bride and groom, wedding party, and photographer don’t have to travel far to capture stunning images.
Another great photo opportunity is capturing the guests and wedding ceremony if your wedding is outdoors. Most brides opt to have their guests face the vineyards. This provides for some stunning wedding photos with the vineyards and hills in the background, especially on a clear, Southern California winter day. Having such a set-up also allows the photographer to have easy access to the ceremony itself, allowing the photographer to get up and personal for detailed bridal photos.
For brides who choose to be married in Ponte’s barrel room, less experienced photographers may be challenged with the low lighting conditions, however, a seasoned photographer would have no problems in such low light situations.
In addition to your wedding ceremony taking place in the barrel room, you may choose to have your reception there as well, which may pose even a larger problem as the lights are turned completely down. As a bride if you plan on being married in the Barrel Room, check with your photographer and make sure he/she is comfortable with shooting weddings in low light situations.
For larger wedding receptions, Ponte offers the new Vineyard Pavilion, which provides wedding photographers with plenty of pleasing natural light through its rows of French windows making. Most professional photographers prefer such lighting conditions, especially during daylight. For evening shots, photographers can get amazing exterior photos of the reception hall while this may be a bit difficult for the barrel room since there are no windows to provide outbound lighting.
In all, Ponte Winery provides some great photo opportunities for weddings. To view sample images of Ponte, visit their site. They have photos covering the four seasons at the vineyards.
