This weeks Engagement Photography of the Week was photographed at none other than Heisler Park in Laguna Beach (Orange County). This photo was chosen because this weeks featured engagement photography location was about Heisler Park in Lagna Beach. What amazes me about this photo is that I was able to create a mood of isolation as if the couple where the only two people on the planet or that they where stranded on a desert island. But in reality, there where people all around us. I did enhance the colors to warm the image, but all of the other elements in teh photo are mother natures doing.
This is a follow-up with my earlier post on ‘Wedding Engagement Photography – Orange County -Heisler Park”. While some Orange County beaches require a fee for photographers who wish to photograph engagement photos right on the beach, there is no know fee for Heisler Park. However, I recommend checking with the city of Laguna Beach for any fees.If you are planning on getting married at Heisler Pak, then there is a $200 fee (at the time of this post). I have posted the rules below as well as the contact information and a link to the application for the ues of the park for your wedding.

This weeks wedding or engagement photo location takes us to Heisler Park, in Laguna Beach (Orange County). It’s been referred to perhaps as the most beautiful beach in Southern California by travel magazines. On any given day in the summer, you will find many photographers and videographers jockeying for a position to capture their couples against the setting sun.
One of the main reasons I enjoy taking engagement photos at Heisler Park, is due to
it’s rock formations that add to a picturesque backdrop. My preferred time of year to photograph on the beach is winter; you can capture some awesome clouds as seen on the black and white engagement photo of the couple to the right.
Heisler Park is not just for capturing great engagement photos. I have have photographed a few weddings both on the beach and in the gazebo located on cliff drive (Near Las Brisas restaurant). In my next post, I’ll list the requirements for securing the beach for your wedding).

Some amenities of Hesiler Park include clean restrooms (which is nice when I have couples bring a change of clothes), nice grass areas, and bar-b-que’s for picnicking. Parking can be scarce during the summer or warm months, so you’ll want to plan your engagement or wedding shoot early. Also, you’ll want to have quarters for the parking meters. They do take credit cards as well and a change machine is available on Cliff drive
in the middle of the park.
If you want to share any additional tips or stories about your engagement or wedding experience at Heisler Park, feel free to leave a comment.
